Malaysian general election, 2013

The following Malaysian general election might be held on 5 May 2013, following a dissolution of your Parliament announced by the Pm on 3 April 2013. Election candidate nominations were made on 20 April 2013, and campaigning lasts until 4 May 2013 (a time period of 15 days). Eligible Malaysian citizens will elect members for the House of Representatives as well as State Legislative Assemblies.

Following the dissolution with the Federal Parliament, 12 away from 13 state assemblies, (apart from Sarawak) are dissolved, paving the way in which for simultaneous elections for any state and federal assemblies.
